Gurudwara Shri Gurusar Sahib, Gurusar

 

GURUDWARA SHRI PATSHAHI DASVIN SAHIB is situated in Village Gurusar, Distt Bathinda. SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI came here from from dina. Along with GURU SAHIB were some Singhs. When GURU SAHIB asked, people said that his name is Rukhwala GURU SAHIB said don't call it Rukhwala from now on, its name is Rakhwala GURU SAHIB camped outside the village. The villagers collected hay for the horses and supplies for the Singhs. It was here that the Panch's of Jalal village offered two horses milk and some gur(Jaggery) in the service of GURU SAHIB. they also lovingly presented a beautiful and sharp spear to GURU SAHIB, which GURU SAHIB was very happy to accept. Villagers of the Jalals, told that people from nearby village hates them and sometimes comes to fight. Please promise us victory. GURU SAHIB said as long as you continue to obey the GURU's house, victory will be yours. The people of Jalal were very happy to hear this gift. The words of GURU SAHIB came true Whenever someone came attacking on them, they always won. After some time, a group of Singh's came to Jalal village. The people of Jalal village stole five horses at night and also killed two Singh's. When Singhs came to know about this in the morning, the group got together and looted the village and scolded the villagers. The people then memorized the words of GURU SAHIB and prepared Karah Prasad and apologized to Singhs and promised to stay in the shelter of Khalsa from now on. Singhs was happy and settled the villagers, where GURU SAHIB had camped and named the village Gurusar. In the processions of Darbar Sahib, the tree of Jand with which GURU SAHIB had tied his horse.
