GURUDWARA SHRI JANGSAR SAHIB PATSHAHI CHEVIN is situated in Brahmanmajra, Distt Ropar. SHRI GURU HARGOBIND SAHIB JI came here while coming back from Kurukshetra. Along with GURU SAHIB were 25 sikhs. Before coming here, GURU SAHIB stopped at the village of Gharuan. When GURU SAHIB arrived here, the oppressive Muslims of village Singh were trying to snatch the dola of a newly married Brahmin girl. They did not stop even after being stopped by GURU SAHIB. GURU SAHIB attacked the troop, till evening most of singhs were dead. GURU SAHIB called more singhs from Kiratpur Sahib within night. In next days battle Muslim troops were defeated and brahmin girl was rescued and handed over to her family. GURU SAHIB settled Panj (Five) Singh from the Dhanoa family of village Gharuan to protect the Brahmins.
