GURUDWARA SHRI DASHMESHGARH SAHIB PATSHAHI DASVIN is situated in Village Bhalan, Teh Nurpur Bedi, Distt Ropar. SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI fought fourteen battles in his life time for humanity. Here GURU SAHIB fought fifth battle against hill rulers. When rulers were unhappy with increasing fame of SHRI ANANDPUR SAHIB, They under leadership of Raja Amer Chand of Fort Kehloor met Dilawar Khan of Lahore. They informed him that GURU SAHIB had started building army and collecting weapons. This would be a danger in coming days for Mughal Empire. Dilawar Khan sent his Son with army of two thousand soldiers. But he couldn't cross Sutlej river and after attacking and looting barwa nagar camped at Bhallan. In those days here used to be a small fort, Sutlej was on east side of that fort and in North and South were deep .... There was only one entrance from west side. GURU SAHIB's army chased away Mughal army from this area. Next year again Dilawar Khan sent his general Husain Khan and son Nazim Khan with much bigger army in numbers. They attacked the local hill rulers and asked them to join the attack against GURU SAHIB. Some rulers approached GURU SAHIB. Here a big battle was fought and Dilawar Khans son was killed and Mughal army ran away. Bhai Sangatia, Bhai Darso and Bhai Jujhar Singh Rajput also succumbed to their injuries. GURU SAHIB himself took care of them.
