GURUDWARA SHRI PATSHAHI NAUVIN SAHIB is located in the Raj Mohalla area of the city of Sonipat in Haryana. SHRI GURU TEGBAHADUR SAHIB JI, along with his family, arrived at this place while traveling via Panipat and stayed at the home of Bhai Mishra Ji. Bhai Mishra Ji served the Guru with great devotion. After staying here for a few days, the Guru continued his journey towards Assam via Delhi. Before departing, he instructed that a Dharamsala (religious rest house) be built at this place in the name of SHRI GURU NANAK DEV JI SAHIB. Since then, devotional singing and worship have continued at the site. Another structure was built in front of this location, during the construction of which ancient weapons were found — including two swords and a shield — which are now respectfully displayed in the Gurdwara Sahib.
