GURUDWARA SHRI KADAMSAR SAHIB, Malkapur
During the reign of Nimvant in Malkapur, the people were greatly troubled by the salty water in the region. They appealed to the king for a solution. In that kingdom lived a fakir named Lal Shah, in whom the king had great faith. The king summoned the fakir to his court and asked for a solution to the water problem. The fakir told the king that SRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI, the tenth incarnation of SRI GURU NANAK DEV JI, was present in Burhanpur. He also explained to the king that this person was none other than Allah himself. Therefore, the king should go and personally make a request.
Hearing the fakir's advice, the king of Malkapur went to Burhanpur to meet Guru Sahib. He requested Guru Sahib to purify and sweeten the water for the benefit of the entire populace. Guru Sahib accepted the request and decided to visit Malkapur. The king sent his minister to invite Guru Sahib to his palace, but Guru Sahib chose to stay at the current location and summoned the king there. Guru Sahib gave darshan (divine vision) to the congregation at this spot and had a well dug, from which sweet water emerged. As a result, the water throughout Malkapur also became sweet. The tree under which Guru Sahib sat and the well still exist at that location today.
