GURUDWARA SHRI LAKEER SAHIB, TARAN TAARAN

In 1757 AD, when Ahmed Shah Abdali's forces desecrated Sri Harmandir Sahib, Baba Deep Singh Ji performed a prayer at Damdama Sahib (Talwandi Sabo) and started towards Sri Amritsar Sahib to take revenge for this and to liberate Darbar Sahib. Baba Deep Singh Ji was 75 years old in those days. Reaching at this place (village of Fateh Chak ), around 5000 Khalsa forces gathered with them. Ahead, the Mughal army was in large numbers Baba Deep Singh ji knew that there would be martyrdom in this war Knowing this, Baba ji called the Khalsa army and drew a line at this place with his 18 Kilo sword (Double Edged Sword) and said that only those warriors who love Harmandar more than their own lives should come forward. All the Khalsa warriors crossed the line with enthusiasm and energy. Going forward, a fierce battle took place between the two armies at Tahla Sahib. From that place, Baba ji reached Harmandar Sahib while carrying his head on hand and gave martyrdom and freed the Darbar Sahib.
