GURUDWARA SHRI GAU GHAT SAHIB is situated in Ludhiana City. It is situated on Gaushala Road Old Ludhiana. SHRI GURU NANAK DEV JI came here in 1515, and rested here on the Bank of river Satluj. GURU SAHIB Recited their divine baani, in praise of God. The Nawab of Lodhi(Ludhiana) Jalal-udd-din came to GURU SAHIB with his Counties. He offered his services to GURU SAHIB and also requested GURU SAHIB to save the town from erosion by the Satluj River. GURU SAHIB replied to him, that he should serve his people by doing justice. Satluj river will move miles away from this City and this place will be fully Prosperous and people will live happily. As here nearby is situated Gau Shala hence the name of GURUDWARA SAHIB was named as Shri Gau Ghat Sahib.
