GURUDWARA SHRI TAHLI SAHIB is situated in Village Balehar Khanpur, Distt Kapurthala. This sacred place is situated on Kapurthala Nakodar Road. When SHRI GURU HARGOBIND SAHIB JI was staying at Kartarpur Sahib, Local People requested GURU SAHIB to visit there place and kill a Lion. A Lion in that area used to disturb people a lot. GURU SAHIB reached here along with his warriors and tied his horse with Tahli Tree. GURU SAHIB waked up lion with his foot and challenged for fight. After a fight with Lion GURU SAHIB killed the lion at the place where now GURUDWARA SHRI TANVI SAHIB, KALA SANGHIA is situated. In those days a person named Jhanda used to stay here in this Village. He was very rich and proudy person. GURU SAHIB brought him down to earth. And further teached people to live simple life.
