GURUDWARA SHRI NANAKPURI SAHIB is situated in the Village Tanda, Kicha, Distt Udham Singh Nagar, Uttrakhand. GURUDWARA SAHIB can be reached from Rudarpur (Distt. Head of Udham Singh Nagar) and Kicha. SHRI GURU NANAK DEV JI came here on the request of Bhai Hara ji, with GURU SAHIB's order Bhai Bala ji and Mardana ji stayed undercover for some time. GURU SAHIB transformed himself into a child and sat there. Ruhela Pathaan caught GURU SAHIB (Child), even after the objection of his wife he sold GURU SAHIB (Child) to another merchant at the cost of 2 horses. When merchant who bought GURU SAHIB (Child) asked GURU SAHIB (Child) to take care of Baag (Garden) and make sure that no birds (parrots) should enter the Baag (garden). On this GURU SAHIB (Child) told the merchant that all the vegetation will go dry in the Baag (Garden) till the time I will be there. But Merchant ignored this and when GURU SAHIB stepped inside the Baag (Garden) the fresh & green vegetation turned to dry. (Today GURUDWARA SHRI GURU KA BAAG is situated at this sacred place). Finally when GURU SAHIB (Child) stepped out of the Baag (Garden) the dry vegetation again turned to green as before. When that merchant saw this he felt the presence of GURU SAHIB in the form of Child and he touched Guru Sahib's feet (Child). GURU SAHIB (Child) told him not to do the human trade in future.
After this GURU SAHIB (Child) again sat there. Ruhela Pathaan caught GURU SAHIB (Child) and he sold GURU SAHIB (Child) to another merchant. When merchant who bought GURU SAHIB (Child) asked GURU SAHIB (Child) to graze the Sheep's. On this GURU SAHIB (Child) told the merchant that if he will touch any of the sheep with his stick, sheep will die there and then. Merchant wanted to make sure if this is true, so he insisted GURU SAHIB (Child) to do the same. And soon when Guru Sahib (Child) touched the sheep, she died. (Now GURUDWARA SHRI MAR JIWALA SAHIB is situated at this sacred place). When GURU SAHIB touched the dead Sheep with his stick once again, she regained her senses and life again. Then merchant asked GURU SAHIB (Child) to grind wheat on wheat mill. GURU SAHIB (Child) did the same but grinded wheat's quantity stopped to the limit of handful amount. Even after continuous process of Grinding it was not increasing. Then the wife of Merchant raised the voice and said "This child is some sacred soul of a saint". On this Merchant felt GURU SAHIB (Child) presence and fell on their feet. GURU SAHIB (Child) told this merchant to Stop the human trade in future.
After this GURU SAHIB (Child) again sat there. Ruhela Pathaan caught GURU SAHIB (Child) and he sold GURU SAHIB (Child) to a third merchant. When merchant who bought GURU SAHIB (Child) asked GURU SAHIB (Child) to fetch water from well. The pitcher that GURU SAHIB (Child) got to fetch the water from the well was 1 feet above than GURU SAHIB's (Child) head. GURU SAHIB (Child) asked Khwaza Khizar not to give water without GURU SAHIB's order. Soon after this all the well went dry. Merchant send GURU SAHIB (Child) to River Bank(Ghat), but it was also dry (Today GURUDWARA SHRI GHAT SAHIB is situated at this sacred place). On this Pathan's of nearby area assembled together in a Masjid (Mosque) where GURU SAHIB (Child) told all of them that "If you stop Human Trade with effect from now, only then the Khuda (God) will listen to your prayers. After this all the Pathan"s said "NO" to the bad deeds and human trade thereafter. . GURU SAHIB (Child) asked Khwaza Khizar to give the water again, soon all the rivers and wells of the nearby area were flooded with ample amount of water. After seeing this wonder of GURU SAHIB (Child), all the pathaans felt the greatness of GURU SAHIB's (Child); all fell in his feet and asked to forgive them. Thats how GURU SAHIB preached all the pathaan"s of this area including Ruhela Pathaan and blessed Bhai Hara Singh Ji with a new name "Kalyaan Singh".
