GURUDWARA SHRI FATU SAMU DIAN TAHLIAN SAHIB
History According to Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha Ji :- When SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI came here, he stayed with Fattu and Sammu. At the time of farewell, they presented lungi (Clothe used to cover lower body) and khes (Heavy Cotton Shawl a Cotton Substitute of blanket) to GURU SAHIB.
History According to Charan Chalo Marg Gobind :- When SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI came to village Harike Kalan near Muktsar, the villagers did a lot of service. At night, when GURU SAHIB went to sleep, he asked the Sardars of Harike to watch over our bed tonight. But the Sardar themselves went home and slept and their servants Bhai Fattu and Sammu were put on guard. In the night, GURU SAHIB got up three times and asked, "Is anyone waking up?" So three times Fattu and Sammu said "Ji Patshah ji we Dogars are waking up " | GURU SAHIB spoke
Fattu and Sammu requested that we are servants of Harike Sardars. GURU SAHIB said that you stay on the banks of the Sutlej, there will be your shelter. On the second day, GURU SAHIB brought them to this place and said, take the horse and cover as much as land you want. According to the order, Fattu and Sammu covered the land of two villages. And the name of this place became known as Fattu and Sammu dian tahlian. GURU SAHIB went back to Harike
History According to Bhai Dhanna Singh Chahal Patialawi :- When SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI came here, he stayed with Fattu and Sammu. GURU SAHIB came here from Muktsar for hunting. Fattu and Sammu both brothers were thieves. Once they went to a some other village and stole their buffaloes. They brought the buffaloes and put them in the water pond. At that time when GURU SAHIB came from there, these Dogars offered khes and lungi. Then they brought milk for GURU SAHIB. GURU SAHIB said we will not drink this milk because these buffaloes are stolen. GURU SAHIB taught them the truth. Then the owners of the buffaloes came searching for. There Both the brothers fell at the feet of GURU SAHIB and started saying we repent from now on but save our honor this time. GURU SAHIB said, kindly go to the water pond and identify your buffaloes. They went and saw that all of buffaloes were brown in color. They said that ours buffaloes were black in color and left Seeing this, the two brothers came to the shelter of GURU SAHIB. And he camped there for the rest of his life.
